Time-honored tradition?

Has the time-honored tradition ended? Neither AEW and WWE seem to job out wrestlers before they leave. WWE even released Mustafa Ali a week before a scheduled match where he could have made Dominik look great. AEW brought Jade back to put over Statlander but didn't book her at 3 ppvs where she could have lost to their 'world champ' stars like Britt, Saraya, or Toni Storm. No more 'loser leaves town' blowoff matches? Is there less of a need to put losses on talent who are leaving or is this more of a sign of the depth of the modern roster?
The “ time honored tradition “ is a bullshit lie told by Vince McMahon to screw over Bret Hart. Vince, and some other notable promoters, used to job guys out to ruin their value in some situations. But there’s just as many examples of guys not going out on their backs, from Roddy Piper in the 80s to Ricky Steamboat and his retirements to Bruiser Brody.
