Did Punk already see this coming? Everyone found it really weird he visited WWE and IMPACT before his recent return. Supposedly he looked to seek out Hunter especially. Maybe he was trying to build that bridge back because he knew he wasn't going to last long?

Also say eventually Hunter does decide to bring him back. After Reigns/Punk, what else is it worth having him back for?

He was doing it to be a manipulative piece of crap and try to play them off AEW to broker a better deal for himself. If i had to guess.
