Punk’ed Again

Welp, All In with the “record” for highest paid ticket gate has come and gone, now it's back to reality for AEW, where they can can barely sell 3k tickets for Dynamite this week. And on top of that, after a pretty decent show AEW once again revolves around what CM Punk did backstage. Kudos to Tony for actually growing a pair and suspending someone, but is that enough? Is it time to just end the misery that's been this Punk run and get back to where the company was prior to him joining?
At this point what's the benefit of keeping Punk? I assume Tony doesn't want to upset WBD this close to renegotiations, as they clearly value Punk. But all the drama cannot be worth it, as every big recent accomplishment they've had was upended by one issue after another with Punk. Now i dont totally blame Punk, as it seems he is trying to install some kind of leadership backstage, similar to how WWE is set up, but I think the inmates are too used to running the prison at this point. With Punk basically already at the point of saying “I hate place” what should Tony do?
Collision is already losing to NXT in ratings and its only gonna get worse when college football starts. Cut bait and let it become the show to build stars like Will Hobbs and Ricky Starks on. Let Punk go, what's there to lose? Best case is he goes to wwe and becomes their problem. Honestly he is prob better off there at this point getting a fat check for a couple matches, plus AJ can finally get her HOF induction she def deserves. I think everyone in AEW would be relieved and inspired to step it up without Punk. Plus it allows you to end the dumb brand split and all the awkward backstage drama they have to work around. What say you?
“Sure they just drew 81,000 people to Wembley and did a $12 million gate but other than THAT what have they done lately?”
Man do you ever run out of bad faith arguments?
