PPV Press Conferences Past

It occurred to me it might be interesting to speculate about what it might have been like if there had been post-PPV Press Conferences before the modern era.

I’m not sure they would have worked in the 80s, dues to kayfabe and the likelihood of Dave being the only one in the room asking questions.

I can definitely see them working in the 90s. Vince would react fine until someone asked a question he didn’t like and then he’s go all Bob Costas on them. Eric Bischoff would have enjoyed smirking and bragging his way through them during the 83 weeks at least. Paul Hyeman, of course, would have been in his absolute element and would always be asking for more questions.

So what say you? How do you think things would have played out in the 2000s and 2010s?
