What if New Jack died at Living Dangerously 2000?

Reading your Living Dangerously 2000 review made me wonder what would have happened if New Jack had died from scaffold fall. ECW was on its last legs anyway so it wouldn't have made that much of a difference for the company if TNN cancelled their TV earlier but what about the public image of wrestling as a whole? Owen Hart's death was less than a year before that so how would the media react if a second wrestler had fallen from a height to his death on live PPV? Assuming the controversy would affect the image of the entire wrestling industry could it have affected TNN's deal with the WWF?

I don't think New Jack would have made enough of a blip on the radar of mainstream news that it would have mattered. ECW probably would have been shitcanned from TNN but I think it would have been framed as “stupid wrestler does stupid thing” and then the news cycle would have moved on quickly once the Mass Transit stuff and his past got dug up.
