Am I the only one who legitimately doesn’t care either way about Punk vs the Elite?

I don't care if they legitimately hate one another. I don't care if they've decided to act professional and work an angle. I don't care whether either party is on my TV or not. I certainly don't find any of it interesting or engaging, nor do I find it to be anywhere near as newsworthy as the fabled Bret/Shawn rivalry (which I've seen mentioned numerous times as a comparison).

I feel like it's been Michael Cole “cool dad'd” where any organic and rawness it once had to it is now nothing but manufactured BS that we're still supposed to believe is a powder keg about to explode, when in reality the whole thing ends up being devalued because we know they're feigning any extreme “OMG, are they gonna shoot?!” type of animosity. No one believes anyone is going to take any liberties in the ring or on the mic. It's now just a regular angle, and not a particularly powerful one because its manufactured status is staring us in the face.

So, why are people acting like it's still some kind of a big deal, or that it actually has any gravitas behind it? It's as manufactured as Matt Hardy/Edge back in 2005. “Wrestling company makes business decision, employees follow business expectations, news at 11.”

I don’t care about it that much either. I’m more invested in Elite vs BCC because it had actual stakes and a clear path to a payoff.
