Titles & Belts

WWE is on another belt kick lately, with Reigns, Rollins, and Asuka all getting new ones, and Rhea rumored to be getting a new one, as well.

Whatever your feelings on the belts themselves, I'm glad that the company seems to be doing away with the “Raw” and “SmackDown” designations in favor of “WWE” and “World”. Reigns still has the words “Undisputed” and “Universal” in there, but with the 1000+ day run, I'm okay with that. I do hope that, once that ends, we get something along the lines of:

– WWE Title, WWE Women's Title, WWE Tag-Team Titles
– World Title, World Women's Title, World Tag-Team Titles

Also, with the recent announcement that the WWE Women's Tag-Team Championship and the NXT Women's Tag-Team Championship will be unified, do you think any other titles should be unified? The Women's Tag Titles were originally meant for all three brands, then became Raw/SD when NXT got their own version, and – I assume – will be for all three brands again when they're unified. Should the Raw and SD Tag Titles be (officially) unified and be used for both brands?

Lastly, ever since the original roster split, I've always thought there should be some sort of TV Title, with the champion having to defend the title on every Raw, SD, and PPV. Let it be the new “workhorse” title, where talented veterans and promising new-comers can provide good matches and get more exposure. I've long thought that the IC and US titles should be unified into this new title, but with Reigns not being around much and some other titles being unified (meaning less titles overall), it should probably be its own thing.

Okay, actually, THIS will be the last thing: Should WWE have a mid-card title for the women (like the TBS Title)? Honestly, I don't like the idea, and the Women's Tag titles basically already serve that purpose, but figured I'd throw it out there.

You’re very verbose. I would unify everything down to one World title, one tag team title, one Women’s title and one secondary title. We don’t need two of each.
