Hey Scott,

Bored watching some old NJPW matches on a Saturday night and thought of a topic for the BoD:

Who is a wrestler who was big in a promotion during a down time that absolutely would have been overshadowed/ not big in a hot period?

I’ll hang up and listen.

I'm gonna go with the hot take right away and say Edge in 2006. A character that was more of a reaction to the Cena backlash than anything, and a guy that was still nowhere near a main event level talent in the ring at that point.
