Certain era of the Macho Man

By Scott Keith on June 9, 2023

Good Morning Mr. Keith. Happy Indictment Week!!! Also I love that challenge your country has thrown down to mine of who can create the most disruptive fires. I assure you, when it comes to the worst of anything, USA will step up!

Anywhoo, I barely paid attention to WCW once the Radicalz jumped as it was headed down hill fast before that, and I never followed TNA outside a few notable matches you rated highly. I had to wikipedia Randy Savages time when he left WCW(May 2000 it states) and his brief stint in TNA in 2004, up until his death in May 2011.

My question is, in that 11 year span, how is it that one of the most famous, noticeable, charismatic and always insanely over wrestlers from the 80's and 90's, didn't do much in the wrestling world? Was it his personal choice to step away from it mostly? Did he or WWE ever reach out to each other at any point to make something work? I know the rumors of him and the McMahons, all unfounded thus far, are out there, but Vince really can look past anything to make it work for fame, fortune, gossip etc. I can only imagine the stories and banter Savage would have brought to the table during those Legends of Wrestling shows.

Vegas in 6!

There were talks but Savage was demanding so much money and creative control that even Hulk Hogan would be like “You should tone it down, brother”. Plus Savage was totally broken down even by 2000 and could barely move.
