Why Cody Lost

We’re all in agreement that for the last 2 1/2 years, Roman Reigns has been the 99 rated Final Boss of WWE. Then why did everyone expect the WWE’s version of Mike Tyson in Punch-Out to lose to a guy who was challenging him for the very first time?

Cody Rhodes has been completely unbeatable in his first year back, but it’s too easy for him to just roll into WrestleMania and end the greatest title reign of the 21st century on his first try. Cody needs to go through a bit of “Hard Times” before he can be coronated. Saying that Cody losing is going to kill his heat is like saying losing to Bret Hart killed Steve Austin’s chances of being the top guy.

Now Cody can spend the summer getting revenge on Solo, building himself back up to another title shot, and you can sell out another stadium at SummerSlam with the rematch. It’s kinda like that movie CM Punk never saw except they’re not trying to blow through the whole thing in a week and a half.
Oh. We’re watching it wrong. Gotcha.
