FTRPUNK VS The Elite Incoming?

So FTR are taken off TV (asked for time off allegedly) with some thinking they'll return once it's time to resign (April). Now conveniently there's reports that Punk will be 100 percent healed fairly soon. The Elite are the trios champs. If Punk hasn't gotten released by now, he's more then likely going to return at some point soon. Are we headed toward a FTRPUNK/Elite showdown for the Trios Titles? Just imagine we get a title defense from The Elite, whether it be on Dynamite or on PPV. They win, FTRs music plays, they show up on stage, Cult Of Personality plays. They head to the ring and we get the big staredown to end the show. They could easily run a few months off that and we know Tony loves his 7/8 month long feuds.

I'm mostly convinced that if Punk is returning to wrestling, it's with AEW at some point, so this is certainly within the realm of possibility.
