Major Yates?

I was reading Monday’s superstars review and I noticed Underfaker wrestling someone named Major Yates. While it’s always nice to see our veterans getting hired, I got to wondering where does Major Yates fit in with the wrestling military? Did he start out as one of Sgt Slaughter’s privates? Maybe he served a tour of duty with Cpl. Kirchner and ranger Ross? Sat around the VA with Craig Pittman. Or simply one of the Misfits in Action? Inquiring minds want to know!!!
