Rebooking Starrcade 1989 – A Cautionary Tale?
By Scott Keith on October 16, 2022
Hindsight being 20/20, rebooking Starrcade 1989 may have seemed like fun and games, at the time (April 2016), but it should be plainly apparent… now… that Starrcade 1989 is literally the fabric that holds time and space together. Mere mortals are not meant to wield such power and the ramifications of trying, no matter how small or innocent, will inevitably throw us into darker and darker timelines. All that is, was as it should ever be.
“Accursed creator! Why did you form a monster so hideous that even you turned from me in disgust? God, in pity, made [Starrcade 1989] beautiful and alluring, after his own image; but my form is a filthy type of yours, more horrid even from the very resemblance. Satan had his companions, fellow devils, to admire and encourage him, but I am solitary and abhorred.” – Mary Shelley, Frankenstein
Exactly! That's why I don't want to mess with rebooking the Invasion! It would be 100 times worse and we'd wind up in the end times where ROH is taking over AEW and Vince's doofus son-in-law is in charge of the promotion!
…
OH. MY.. GOD.
