Modern Day Crockett Cup

Since Tony Khan owns ROH and has shown that he is willing to work with other wrestling organizations, do you think a modern day version of the Crockett Cup (obviously the name would need to be changed) could work today? Seems like it might be fun to me.
I enjoy both tag team wrestling and tournaments. This could definitely work.
