The endgame with Punk?

I loved Dynamite this week and am just loving the product in general. That being said, I…don't really get where they're going with Punk here.
His gimmick is verging on just being the big star who is just really happy to be a pro wrestler again and is a fan of AEW. This guy needs a heel to work with ASAP instead of any more “Here's CM Punk to say hello!” type segments.
Where would you go with him for his big blood feud? I *thought* we were getting Punk vs. Starks, but Punk calmly moved on with the Hobbes win, and now we're back to happy Punk wrestling for the sake of loving wrestling.
Maybe he just wants to be happy Punk wrestling for the sake of loving wrestling for a while? I think he’s earned some leeway.
