what’s the right number?

Reading the ECW reviews had me thinking back to the halcyon days of wrestling of the mid-to-late 90’s – and what I think added to the entertainment levels was that there were three viable promotions that were easy to watch. But maybe more
importantly, there were three organizations for wrestlers to move around to.

My question is this – what’s the ideal number of promotions to keep things fresh and intriguing? While we haven’t seen many defections from AEW to WWE (yet!), I imagine there soon will be. But would the magic number be three? Four?
