Is 32 Years Long Enough Wait To Recycle An Angle?
By Scott Keith on August 26, 2021
1989 angle between Ronnie Garvin and Greg Valentine!
Once MJF wins yet again at All In through shady means, Chris Jericho
can never wrestle in AEW again. What he can still do is…everything
else! He can commentate, he can officiate, he can be the ring
announcer, he can sell popcorn, he can do everything else possible to
somehow thwart MJF's success at each and every turn. By striking down
Jericho, MJF has made Jericho more powerful than he could possibly
imagine.
Finally, MJF has enough, and agrees to give Jericho one final match.
Though Jericho cannot contractually wrestle again, he can fight MJF in
a Lights Out unsanctioned match that doesn't count on anybody's
record, but does include the stipulation that Jericho is reinstated as
a wrestler if he wins, but is completely gone from AEW if he loses.
And for extra impact, they can even do it around the time when Chris
Jericho's AEW contract is set to expire (kayfabe or for realz if it
truly works out that way) to keep the outcome in doubt.
Since you're on AEW's payroll, can you put in a good word for me to
book the next straight to Youtube show they come up with?
