The inevitable babyface turn for Roman
By Scott Keith on August 18, 2021
If you had creative control, how would you tweak his character once he turns face again?
If babyface Roman 2.0 is all smiles again and cuts promos like, “I'm fighting now for my REAL family y'all, the WWE Universe!” he's sunk all over again.
It's just such a weird time for WWE because they've never been this bad at booking babyfaces, so every face seems to either become ice-cold *as* a face or an inadvertent heel. I'd rather Roman just be allowed to stay cool as a heel and not become another eye-rolling, cringey babyface who frequently gets laid out at the end of a show.
The key is not to TURN him face. You have to keep going down this road until the fans WANT him to turn. And if that means he has to wreck every pretender to his throne and hold the belt for 1000 days like Nick Aldis, so be it.
