Hogan/Orndorf Prologue

While I'm loving all the nostalgic memories of the iconic 1986 feud, I'm surprised no one seems to remember this was their second run. Orndorf was somewhat of a primary challenger for Hogan from early '84-early'85. They had 31 title matches!
Can you think of any other pairing where one run is so memorable, it completely overshadows an earlier, almost-as-good run?
