I’ll let AEW slide on that booking decision, mainly because I think Baker is getting the bell soon so it probably wouldn’t have benefited Conti to be a transitional champion

Pushing Shida all the way only to lose a nail biter was probably the best way to play it right now. They can always have Conti get back in contention once Baker has won the belt

I agree with you in principle but I understand where they are coming from right now. I think Conti winning the belt only to lose it almost right away does more harm than good

Still disagree. I think it’s so hard to make legitimate stars and if you have a shot, you need to take it. They only do 4 PPV shows a year anyway so it’s not like she’d be dropping it a week later.
