The Apter mags and Vince

One interesting aspect I recall about the Apter mags is that they were fully kayfabed, except for one thing: they basically acknowledged that Vince was in charge of the WWF instead of just the announcer the shows presented him as. What do you think that was
all about? Those mags weren't fully anti-WWF exactly, as I recall, but they definitely were more pro-NWA. Was that just an outgrowth of that, that they were taking an opportunity to poke a small hole in Vince's edifice for…shits and giggles, I guess?

Vince never DENIED it as such, he just didn't go out of his way to advertise it.
