Yes, folks, tonight is NXT TakeOver, and if you’re able to stomach Velveteen Dream getting a feature bout, you can watch it on the WWE Network.  Io Shirai defends against Candice LeRae, Finn Balor defends against Kyle O’Reilly, and more.

Also: Philadelphia (0-2-1) looks to right the ship against San Francisco (2-1) in the NFL Game of the Week.

The schedule for Dark on October 6 is out, and I’m at max hype.  Sure, the feature bouts are okay (Lucha Bros vs Kiss/Janela, John Silver vs QT Marshall, and Matt Sydal vs Michael Nakazawa as a way to pay off Sydal’s infamous botch), but some of the undercard stuff feels like watching people grow up.  Ryzin (vs Will Hobbs) and M’Badu (vs Eddie Kingston) have graduated from tag team enhancement to singles enhancement, and it looks like Garrison and Pillman (vs Cezar Bononi and David Ali) will get their first win as a duo!  [Also on the card: Brandi Rhodes, Big Swole, Chaos Project, Angelico, and Jurassic Express.]
