Does WM have to be on a Sunday?

Instead of doing an eight-hour show on a Sunday, why not just do the matches WM throughout the week? Would it make sense to do Lesnar/McIntyre on "Raw" and Goldberg/Reigns on "Smackdown" in an effort to bump the ratings? Or would that cut into Network subs too much?

Also, are they legally required to produce a PPV broadcast that particular Sunday, maybe because of contracts with PPV or cable providers? In that case, do some of the matches (like the title matches and Edge/Orton) on Sunday, but then save Taker/Styles for Monday and Cena/Fiend for Friday.

Or is this simply Vince being stuck in his ways?
Honestly they should just tape the big matches while they can. Who knows what’s going to happen on April 5 and something is apparently better than nothing.
