Hey Scott

Just wondering if given how terrible the shows are right now, if they could do with at least SOME kind of on air authority figure to return to SD or Raw?

Not a tedious heel one like we've seen a million times

But a Regal style figure who can logically make matches and explain the rules and stipulations?

What do you think?

I think that Regal works in that role because the fanbase already believe in him as a character and they created the role for him based off already being that natural authority figure. However, if they're creating another authority figure role on the main roster and then just giving it to someone, people will immediately see through it and the person will just be another part of the show that already isn't over.
