Howdy Blog O’Doomers!
Hope everyone is avoiding Muh-muh-muh-muh My Corona…virus. As Lacey Evans would say, wash your hands you flithys.
This is the RAW go home show for Elimination Chamber, which has officially become a PPV that happens. Last year we got Kofimania out of it, but this year it’s a final push for the last main match that hasn’t been announced yet, Shayna Baszler vs. Becky Lynch. The original announcement was Baszler vs. Asuka tonight, which is fine albeit it seems like a waste. But Asuka has a wrist injury so it’ll be Baszler vs. Kairi Sane, which should be fine since they spent the better part of a year in a program together in NXT.
Check out Scott and Thomas’ reviews on AEW Revolution. I liked the show, even though I supposedly hate AEW and trust me there’s nothing I love to do more than spend $50 on things I hate. I really liked the three singles matches I was most interested in. Dustin Rhodes is still a great worker and I loved the story of making Hager look like a beast, without going overboard and making him look unbeatable. Instead he looks like a tough, stout guy that Dustin couldn’t beat, but someone better than him might be able to. Dustin’s good at that stuff.
Cody-MJF was exactly what it was supposed to be — two guys that hate each other trying to outdo their amount of hate for each other. Mox-Jericho felt kind of overbooked and underwhelming after a long show, but it was still a good effort. Still not into most of the Elite, but AEW has other stuff I can get into that doesn’t include them.
TV for me tonight is the continuing awesome season of Better Call Saul and McMillions at 10. There’s some college basketball on too.
Keep it Clean!
