WWE Friday Night Party Thread, Episode 15 — DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK
By Andy PG on January 10, 2020
We made it!
Last week on SmackDown, the Usos stormed the party and saved their (checks Wikipedia) first cousin once removed Roman Reigns. Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler weren’t about to take that lying down and have challenged the Usos to a match that will likely main event tonight. Will Roman need to return the save? And is Bobby Roode cleared to return yet to make this a full six-man feud?
But it wasn’t just the Usos coming back; John Morrison also made his return! Well, sort of — he was seen in Miz’s locker room after it became clear that Miz couldn’t handle being against Bray Wyatt either and became a more angry, evil persona. Now, MizTV will be Morrison’s formal return — and while Miz and Morrison ended 2012 on bad terms, are they really back on the same page?
Meanwhile, Lacey Evans is on a collision course with Bayley for the Women’s Championship. Tonight she faces Sasha Banks. Will Evans continue to build her CV for a title shot? And will we see Bayley and Sasha take on the hero/sidekick dynamic they had at the start? More to the point, considering Evansville is in the old USWA loop, will the crowd boost Evans as the hero?
Meanwhile, Sheamus also made a return last week, kicking Chad Gable’s teeth down his throat. (I am NOT calling him by that other name.) Gable had just stood up to the Revival and is a tag partner with Mustafa Ali. So which way will he go — to finish the Revival, or to set back Sheamus?
All this, plus Otis Dozovic continues to hit on Mandy Rose, tonight on SmackDown!
If you’re not up for that, you can watch Pelicans/Knicks and Lakers/Mavs on ESPN. Jeopardy’s Greatest Ever series continues as Ken Jennings (2) can clinch it tonight over James Holzhauer (1) and Brad Rutter (0).
All right, we went over the rules in the back; obey the mod’s instructions at all times. Keep it clean, and let’s have a good weekend! LET’S GET IT ON!
