WWF All-American Wrestling – July 10th, 1994

July 10, 1994
Your hosts are Todd Pettengill and Ted DiBiase. We see the studio undergoing changes as Pettengill tells DiBiase that he is substituting for Gorilla. DiBiase says that he has bought off the producer and director then orders Pettengill to do his job. This plays off of last week’s show when DiBiase bought off Polo and took his position as he wants to make All-American a showcase for his corporation.
Pettengill runs down the show which includes Undertaker vs. Tatanka, Roddy Piper’s Bottom Line, the Memory Lane match of Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel in a Blindfold Match at WrestleMania VII.
Alundra Blayze defeats Luna Vachon from the 7/9 edition of “Superstars.”
Back in the studio as Pettengill hypes up SummerSlam and the main event, which is Undertaker vs. Undertaker. Pettengill asks DiBiase whats up with the match as DiBiase says he knows he has The Undertaker and unsure whatever Bearer has while Pettengill talks about Bearer still having some sort of power over Undertaker. Pettengill then wants to get a detective to figure out the case as DiBiase lists off a bunch of TV detectives as the hosts talk about that for a bit.
Yokozuna defeats David Thornberg from the 7/10 edition of “Wrestling Challenge.”
Back to the hosts as Pettengill asks DiBiase about making an appearance in private on the King’s Court and wants to know what he has to say but DiBiase toys with him and laughs.
Rowdy Piper’s Bottom Line as we see Roddy with a horse. He rambles about all sorts of nonsense about Yokozuna flying commercial and Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf. He also talks about tomorrow night’s World Heavyweight Title match between Bret and the 1-2-3 Kid as Piper puts over Bret for being the only person to pin him on the mat. Piper also talks about Kid and Blayze going on a date where they went skydiving and how Kid was kind enough to give the parachute to Mabel for new ring attire. This was terrible, as were most of these segments.
The WWF New Generation ad airs.
Mabel defeats Black Phantom from the 7/9 edition of “Superstars.”
We are once again back on the set where Pettengill talks about the “Hart Attack” tour and once again mentions how Davey Boy Smith has been reinstated. DiBiase does not care about Smith being back and says he will not make a difference.
Bret Hart video package airs.
We see the Memory Lane match, which is Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel in a Blindfold Match from WrestleMania VII.
The hosts list off other fictional characters as possible detectives to figure out the mystery of Bearer’s Undertaker.
Duke Droese defeats Iron Mike Sharpe from the 7/4 edition of “Monday Night RAW.”
A clip of Paul Bearer trying to coerce The Undertaker from the 7/4 edition of “Monday Night RAW.” is shown.
The Undertaker defeats Tatanka from the 7/9 edition of “Superstars.”
We are back on the set again with DiBiase talking up his Undertaker while Pettengill once again tells us about the Hart Attack tour. Pettengill then asks DiBiase if he will have Lex Luger with him during this tour. DiBiase says that is a good question and has a surprise for us this week and says everyone has a price while laughing.
Final Thoughts: Not much of a show this week. The Bottom Line segment was horrible and the rest of the show saw the new hosts of the show talk about detectives for the Undertaker vs. Undertaker mystery. Their chemistry was alright I suppose but the material poor. Anyway, the only other show I have for All-American was the finale, which is in October.
