Hey Yo…

So Razor & Diesel leave WWF in 1996 for WCW, and for copyright reasons, go by their names Hall & Nash. WWF even has legal issues for a while cuz they feel they're still too close to the WWF characters.
With that in mind, was there a reason Nash's PoochieBomb was still dubbed the Jacknife, but Hall's finish got changed from Razors Edge to Outsiders Edge?
Razors Edge was much cooler of a name, and it's not like WCW didn't want at least some fan recollection of his past as Razor Ramon…
Because you can't trademark something like "Jackknife", which is a term that isn't specifically descriptive of Nash's Diesel character or anything in particular. Plus "jackknife" is a long-used wrestling move name in other forms, like a jackknife cradle. It's like how "Tombstone piledriver" might be associated most with Undertaker, but the move predates him by a lot.
Razor's Edge, on the other hand, is a pretty clear reference to the Razor Ramon character in particular and the move itself was named and probably trademarked by the WWF as a part of the Razor character.
