Sable On WCW Nitro

Was Sable ever set to sign with WCW after the WWF released her in mid-1999? I remember that Nitro where she was sitting in the crowd and was acknowledged by her real name via the announcers, but then nothing ever came of it. I'm assuming she wanted too much money, and/or they realized what a disaster she'd be to deal with?
I don't even remember that, to be honest.
