Your hosts are Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo. They are hosting from a bowling alley but of course, Polo comes late.
Polo finally arrives and says he was getting a rub down.
Owen Hart defeats Mo from the 5/1 edition of “Wrestling Challenge.”
Back to the bowling alley as Gorilla talks about the match while Polo is getting something from the snack bar. Gorilla tells Owen that is not how a champion acts and plugs the WrestleMania Revenge tour title matches he will have against his brother. Gorilla then gets up and asks if Polo is actually going to bowl. Polo is waiting for his four hot dogs with chili and a milkshake. I forget which reader said Gorilla & Polo had a grandfather/annoying grandson relationship but it was spot on especially with this segment.
The Bret Hart interview conducted by Polo from 5/1 edition of “Wrestling Challenge.” airs.
Once again at the bowling alley where the hosts as they are still in line with Polo telling the worker “chop-chop, homeboy.”
Sparky Plugg defeats Tony DeVito from the 4/30 edition of “Superstars.”
Our hosts are finally in front of their lane where Gorilla taunts Polo about his team having to face The Headshrinkers. Polo then says he is really good at bowling and proceeds to roll a gutter ball.
The Quebecers defeat A.C. Conner & Gus Kantarakis from the 5/1 edition of “Wrestling Challenge.”
And we are back at the bowling alley as Polo brags about his team, The Quebecers, being tough and will prove to everyone why they are the champions this Monday night on RAW. Gorilla then “accidentally” drops a ball on Polo’s foot as Polo hops around. An amusing segment.
Another Duke “The Dumpster” Droese vignette airs.
Polo now rolls a ball and his fingers get stuck and ends up sliding down the lane and knocking down all the pins. This of course was all shot in comedic fashion.
Tatanka defeats Mike Bell from the 5/1 edition of “Wrestling Challenge.”
We are once again at the alley with the hosts introducing us to clips of the ending of Razor Ramon vs. Jeff Jarrett from the 4/24 edition of “Monday Night RAW.”
Diesel defeats Razor Ramon to win the Intercontinental Title from the 4/30 edition of “Superstars.”
The hosts talk about the Intercontinental Title change with Polo ecstatic over Diesel using the Jackknife to put away Razor.
Roddy Piper’s Bottom Line is next. He is still on location in Los Angeles while filming a movie. He has a beard and different hair for the role. Piper first tells us not to tease Nikolai Volkoff then refers to Polo as “Johnny Polio” and makes fun of his attire and says that “momsy” dresses him. Piper says Randy Savage is a class man who tells the truth. He also will take Luna Vachon over Madonna any day of the week. Piper now addresses Jerry Lawler after purposely mispronouncing his last name a few times. He brings up Lawler insulting him for signing autographs at Star Trek conventions then says at least someone does buy his autographs. More of Piper “speaking his mind” but the main point was the insult about Lawler to continue their feud.
We see the hosts talk about the Bottom Line with Polo liking the “King’s Court” segments better.
The “WWF Unbelievable” ad with the guy who pretends he is tougher than the wrestlers airs.
Back to the hosts as we learn that Gorilla won the bowling game. Polo then challenges Gorilla to a game of polo but Gorilla does not ride horses.
Final Thoughts: The “Bottom Line” segment was the key segment here to hype Piper/Lawler and although Gorilla/Polo did not get a ton of time in their segments they made the best of everything and that is really all you can ask for this show now since the exclusive matches are a thing of the past for the most part and the Bottom Line the new weekly featured bit.
