Greg Valentine.

Scott – talk to me about Greg Valentine. I mostly know his work from late 80’s WWF. I’ve seen his famous Starrcade match with Piper and good grief it is awesome.
Where does he fall as a worker? I always figured him as a good worker who could probably be great in his earlier days. Is this accurate. Was he ever a draw anywhere?
Thank you!
He wasn't quite up to the level of his father as a worker, but he was a damn fine worker nonetheless. I wouldn't say he was explicitly a draw but he was a guy that you could run on top with a Bob Backlund for a couple of months and people would buy him in the role. Unfortunately by the time the WWF exploded he was kind of on the downturn of his career. Most of his great stuff was in the 70s, specifically his tag team with Ric Flair, which was pretty awesome.
