Brand Split Returning

What do you think of the announcement last week that the WWE will hold another draft and bring back the brand split? Although I myself am all for it, I thought the main reason they instituted the stupid "Wild Card Rule" was a response to complaints from execs at USA and FOX for having only access to half the roster when their new T.V. deals kicked in?
It really doesn't matter because it's just a way to artificially boost ratings in the short term anyway. I'm sure this one will be adhered to about as faithfully as the last couple of attempts were.
