Conspiracy Theories Lightning Round
By Scott Keith on September 5, 2019
Hi Scott,
There are a number of wrestling related conspiracy theories that pop up on this blog and other sites. Some are taken seriously, some are mocked by most, but i was wondering which of these conspiracy theories you believe in.
1) During the 70s/80s the WWF would pay protection money so that their New York shows could take place without interference from the Mafia.
2) The Saudi big money shows are a way for the Saudi Royal family to transfer money to WWE, who will in the future make a large donation to Trump, thus avoiding Trump having to accept money from the Saudi's direct.
3) Fit Finlay is a Neo-Nazi, hence why he doesn't like Meltzer and why no good black female wrestlers came through when he was handling the women's division
4) Kylie Rae was sexually assaulted backstage during AEW Fight For The Fallen by either a member of AEW management or a friend of management. She was paid to keep her mouth quiet, hence why she deleted all her social media.
5) Vince McMahon paid off the Pennsylvanian police & judges to allow Jimmy Snuka to walk free during the investigation into Snuka's girlfriends death.
6) Chris Benoit was framed, in fact a third party (possibly Kevin Sullivan) murdered all three people and then arranged the crime scene.
7) Randy Savage did something with an underage Stephanie hence why he was seemingly blackballed by WWE. (I know you've covered it, but it's a classic)
8) During her 03-04 run Sable slept with HHH. So Steph will not allow Sable anywhere near WWE, hence why there's been no legends appearance or HOF spot for Sable.
9) Vince Russo was a plant sent to WCW by WWE in order to destroy it from within. And if he gets the expected job with AEW, he will do the same there as well.
10) During the negotiations to bring Bret back to the WWE. Vince made a promise to always have at least 1 hart family member on the roster.
Maybe the first one might have some validity, but the rest are pretty ridiculous.
