Hogan at W.M. 9

They were going to run with Bret as champion for the whole year, but then moments before the match, Hogan went to Vince with tears in his eyes declaring that he didn't want his legacy usurped by Bret Hart cementing his place as greatest WWF champion ever, which would surely happen if he retained against Yokozuna. And even though Vince knew that was throwing millions of dollars in money out the window, he went to Bret moments before the match, with tears in his eyes, and claimed that bitch Julie called in a bomb threat and would detonate the building unless Bret lost the title and Hogan won it. This was of course the only plausible scenario where anyone would buy Hogan walking out with the title over Bret. Bret agreed, on the condition that Vince would let him someday live out his dream of feuding with a clown, a pirate, a dentist and a retired color commentator, and Vince agreed to those terms with tears in his eyes.
