How did Meltzer get his Mania XI projections so wrong? Had he been worked by a WWF source? Was he a huge Giants fan who misjudged LT's crossover appeal? Wishful thinking from a wrestling biz guy who wanted to see some sign of life in 95?
He saw the uptick in ratings and mainstream coverage and, at that point, didn't know that it doesn't always correlate to PPV buys.
