Expanding NJPW in the West
By Scott Keith on July 30, 2019
Tl;Dr, New Japn would have a better shot at making waves in the west of New Japan World was, yknow, more accessible. I have the service, but I know I'd probably have it on damn near all of the time if there was an app on, in my case, PS4 (which, both being Japanese companies, seems very surprisingly that this isn't a thing). As it you, you have to Chromecast it or have a Fire Stick (and that app is really not user friendly), and the mobile app is a joke of an app. It just seems like common sense to turn on your game console/Roku/etc, hit a button, and enjoy the likes of Mox and Ishii beat the shit out of each other, or go back to when the Devitt days of the Bullet Club. Instead, people outside of Japan are probably still trying to figure out how to even sign up for New Japan World.
Anyway, it just feels like easier access to the content would truly make them the number two company around the world, maybe even nipping at the heels of WWE (Which is best case scenario. Let's be realistic).
I agree, I wish it was more widely available and easier to navigate. It’s great for live shows and if you know what you’re looking for, but the WWE Network kills it with stuff like Hidden Gems and the territories.
