Sunny’s last few years in the WWF

What was the deal with how badly the WWF was using Sunny in her last few years?(See LOD 2000) She was one of the hottest acts they had right before the Attitude Era, and it seemed they didn't know what to do with her once they had her stop managing Faarooq Assad. Did the rise of Sable have anything to do with it?
I think her rampant drug and alcohol abuse was more of a contributing factor.
