What if Mark was a vessel

Would it ever work where Taker could go from wrestler to wrestler because the person with the gimmick is simply a vessel? I was never a huge Biker taker fan for instance, but that would have at least explained why Mark was no longer a zombie. Then midway through some match you could have had him get repossessed thus explaining the change back.
Also come to think of it, did Japan ever explain why there were different tiger mask's?
Tiger Mask was always supposed to be the in-ring avatar of the comic book character, so I think people just accepted that he was an "actor" playing the role and it would change.
As for the Undertaker idea, I'm gonna have to vote you down, sorry.
