1993 WCW = Not “that” bad?

Making my way through 1993 WCW. I think back to your rant years ago about why WCW lost millions of dollars that year. Yeah the stupid "because WCW" things are there like the Disney tapings, Paul Roma as a Horseman, and putting Tom Zenk in a mask and calling him Shane Douglas but overall, it's been not a huge clusterfuck from an in-ring perspective.
Plenty of decent to great ring work from guys like the Blondes, Steamboat, Rhodes, Rude, Benoit, Scorpio. Add in Flair coming back and the awesome Vader/Sting matches I don't see how this period could be looked upon any less than two years later when they were actually starting to make some money but had all the Dungeon of Doom bullshit and "friends of Hogan" stinking up the ring.
Despite losing all that money, was this era of 1993 abit underrated actually?
They nearly got shut down by TBS due to money losses, so I have a hard time classifying anything in that regard as "underrated". But no, it's not underrated, it was god-awful. Speaking as someone who lived through it.
