We saw a first-time champ in the Blues last night. Could the Raptors add their name to the trophy? Tonight, Toronto(3) faces Golden State(2) in the final game in Oakland’s venerable arena.
The College World Series gets underway this weekend in Omaha. Michigan/Texas Tech, Arkansas/Florida State, Vanderbilt/Louisville, and Auburn/Mississippi State are your opening round matchups.

Okay, let’s crack open a few browser windows and compile some good wrestling from under the radar:
- We open, returning after a one-week oversight from this list, with Super Viernes from Mexico City. Your trios main event is Rush, Cavernario, and the ageless Negro Casas facing Volador Jr., Caristico, and special guest Austin Theory! Plus, the Copa Dinastias Phase Two is tonight, with the Guerreros (Ultimo/Gran) facing Mistico/Dragon Lee and Mascara 2000/Sanson against Niebla Roja/Angel de Oro!
- Freelance Wrestling will be in Chicago tomorrow night for Freelance vs. The World 5! Ethan Page has an open challenge for the big gold, GPA defends the Underground title against Craig Mitchell, and we will crown the inaugural Legacy Champion in a six-way scramble! Even better, the tag belts are on the line in a must-see match as the Space Pirates defend against the WorkHorsemen!
- Your PROMOTION OF THE WEEK is NorthEast Wrestling, a working partner of AEW, who will be holding Brass City Brawl tomorrow night! JT Dunn defends the big gold against Wrecking Ball Lagursky! Brad Hollister is challenged by Joey Janela! Penelope Ford faces off against Alisha! Private Party takes part in a three-way tag match! But the big one is Darby Allin, man with a deathwish, taking on the person who might help him fulfill it, Jon Moxley!
- wXw is in Hamburg tomorrow night for Drive of Champions! Bobby Gunns defends the big gold in a four-way against Marius Al-Ani, the Shotgun Champion (Emil Sitoci defends earlier in the night against Avalanche), and the winner of Absolute Andy against Lucky Kid! Plus, it’s a five-team gauntlet for the tag belts featuring Aussie Open defending against all comers!
- AIW is in action all weekend in Cleveland with not one, but two tournaments! There’s the 24-singles tournament, the JT Lightning Invitational, where the winner must survive a 1v1 first round, a four-way second round, and a three-way final! In addition, eight teams will meet on Day Two (Saturday, with Day One tomorrow) to decide the Chandler Biggins Memorial Tag Team Tournament! And if that’s not all, Tom Lawlor will defend the AIW title against PB Smooth on Night Two! Here are the Biggins first-round matchups:
