Indies and Insanity: June 6, 2019
By Andy PG on June 6, 2019
It’s a pivotal Game 5 tonight as Saint Louis goes to Boston in the Stanley Cup Finals!
Jinder Mahal regained the 24/7 title in the airport on the way to Saudi Arabia, only for R-Truth to regain it right back during the flight. Clips are on YouTube.
Women’s World Cup begins tomorrow! Something to watch instead of the Saudi show!
Here are some other options coming up in our indie breakdown after the jump.
Well, there’s not much, but we’ll take what we can get.
- In the most delicious counter-programming, Pro Wrestling EVE will put on a live Facebook stream tomorrow starting at 2PM ET — in other words, it’s literally going head-to-head with the Saudi show! As is traditional with EVE, they don’t like announcing matches, but the usual suspects such as Su Yung, Jordynne Grace, and Martina can be seen in the advertisement. The Bell to Belles Twitter account will live-tweet if you can’t get the video feed.
- But that’s just the first half of Unofficial Women’s Wrestling Day tomorrow. WSU, the CZW women’s promotion, is running Once More With Feeling tomorrow night in Voorhees! Kris Statlander defends the title against Aja Perera, while The Endless challenge the Platinum Hunnies (Anthony Greene’s entourage) for the tag gold! Plus, Ruthless LaLa, Savannah Stone, Brittany Blake, and many more!
- Bear with me, because the PROMOTION OF THE WEEK is… my guys at CRAB, making their first ever pay show live from Ashburn, Virginia, with Vice Effect on Saturday night! Isaiah Frazier defends the big belt against Logan Easton LaRoux, four people from DC’s Prime Time Pro challenge CRAB to an atomicos match, and the Ugly Ducklings face the Capital Vices as former tag partners J-Sin and Lance Lude collide with their new partners!
- To round off the weekend, we have a Mystery Show from Beyond on Sunday 6/9 (Nice). No names have been announced, but this being Beyond, the show’s sold out anyway. IWTV will carry the livestream.
Your Independent Match of the Week is from DEFY wrestling as we pay tribute to Lucha Underground! Two of their bright spots face off as Brian Cage meets Jack Evans!
Bring the insanity!
