WM – If Not Two Nights, How About…
By Scott Keith on April 8, 2019
Given the WM is a stadium exclusive event and the WWE blocks out a nearby arena for NXT, HoF, RAW and SD, to avoid crowd burnout, why not have the pre-show come from the arena ? The cost of set-up is minimal, production is already there and you can throw on a bunch of matches that would work substantially better in that setting. This would help avoid the crowd burnout that's plagued the last bunch of Manias.
Yeah, but if you're doing THAT, then you're basically running two different PPV shows on the same night and paying for multiple satellite feeds at the same time and all kinds of logistics. Remember that last RAW anniversary show where they could barely pull off running the two arenas at the same time as it was? And who's gonna pay to watch the geek battle royals? I guess they can do closed circuit from the stadium into the arena but it feels like a lot of added expense when really the easier and cheaper solution is, you know, SHORTENING THE GODDAMN SHOW.
