Hey Scott,
How are WWE getting Finn Balor’s demon gimmick so wrong? It’s such an easy sell, and they knew how to do it in NXT. Do the main roster writers just not watch NXT (or any other wrestling promotions and gimmicks from the last 30 years) at all?
There’s literally no perceived threat to Finn Balor from Bobby Lashley. He beat him last week in a 2-on-1 match, beat him the week before in a tag match, and only lost the belt because of interference. Why would he need to bring out the Demon? It makes no sense.
The whole storyline is just a series of stuff that happens week to week to fill time anyway. Sure, the Demon, why not.
Now, if he turns into the RED DEMON from Prime Time and busts out a leopard mask and foreign objects in his gear, we got something.
