Mike Awesome in WCW

Was Mike Awesome a guy that WCW could have built around when Russo/Bischoff resumed control of WCW in April 2000? If he had come in and gone through Nash, Hogan, Sting, Luger, etc and set up a big match with Goldberg, wouldn't that have drawn money
and helped WCW compete with the WWF?

Where did Russo get the idea that the Fat Chick Thriller idea was going to get over? Wasn't there anyone to say how stupid this was?
When he came to the WWF during the Invasion, could they have done something or was their heat from his ECW departure that doomed him.
While I’m sure he could have gotten over by running through Nash, Hogan and then Goldberg, I don’t see that happening. Just a hunch.
Also, Heyman did a hell of a job emphasizing his strength in ECW and hiding his weakness, while WCW did the opposite.
So in summary, I don’t think so, Tim.
