Rants

Twitter, Podcasts And New Generation

By Scott Keith on February 5, 2019

Back in the day, you almost never heard guys talk bad about a company unless it was after they left ala X Pac talking about WCW when he returned on Raw or Christian talking about WWE when he signed with TNA. Nowadays you got guys actively berated whatever company they work for on Twitter or during Podcasts. Example Rusev was recently on Lillian Garcia's Podcast and he basically talked crap about alot of things WWE. Then you get guys like Sanity throwing out subliminal about their status on Twitter. Even Daniel Bryan was vocal on every interview he was on during his General Manager stint. Do these guys not get punished? Should they?

They shouldn't be punished unless it's written into their contracts that they can't make disparaging remarks on social media. The guys aren't employees, they're independent contractors, remember, so while it's not strictly professional to be talking shit about WWE on Twitter, legally speaking WWE wouldn't really have legal recourse.
