Greatest heel turns ever

Hi Scott, hope all is well. Just looking back at the awesome Chris Jericho heel turn in 2008. If it’s not the greatest heel turn ever, I certainly think it’s in the top 5. What are the greatest heel turns ever in terms of heat and effectiveness?


Well, gosh, you've certainly got to put Hulk Hogan at the top of the list, I'd hope!

I don't recall exactly how effective it was long-term, but I really loved Batista's turn on Rey Mysterio where he got sick of what he perceived as Rey's bullshit and just calmly told him he was going to turn now, and then did so.

Of course, my personal favorite is always Barry Windham turning on Lex Luger in 1988 to join the Horsemen. Built up perfectly in retrospect, done at exactly the right time, and it made both guys into bigger stars.
