Daniel Bryan vs. ???

With Seth Rollins challenging the Raw Champion at WrestleMania, why is Daniel Bryan defending the SmackDown! Title in the Elimination Chamber? Wouldn’t it be better used to determine a No. 1 Contender for WrestleMania instead? You’d think that would have a lot more intrigue since there’s no way Bryan is dropping his custom title in his first defense of it.

And ultimately, who would you want to see Bryan defend the title against at Mania? The AJ Styles feud has run its course but do they even have another top-level babyface to put in that slot?

Maybe Rob Van Dam can return and challenge Bryan for the title now that it’s made of hemp?


I have no idea where they're going on Smackdown, and not in the good way. It's usually a well booked show, but they've seriously burned through all the potential challengers on top (Rusev, Nakamura, Hardy, Orton, Joe) and we're pretty much left with Styles as the only top guy left with any cred. They can always move someone over, I guess, but much like the rest of Wrestlemania, the Smackdown side is completely lacking in direction at the moment.
