Same wrestler, different era/promotion
By Scott Keith on February 4, 2019
Watched Kobashi vs Joe for the hell of it recently, and it eventually led to me watching current day Joe crush promos on Smackdown. Joe can still go in the ring, but he's obviously not the same guy that he was in his ROH/TNA heyday. How incredible would a physically prime Samoa Joe be with his current mic work?
Perhaps this has been asked before, but if you could take two versions of the same wrestler and magically fuse them together, who would it be? Joe is my pick, but I guess the other obvious one would be the combination of the young Frankensteinering, moonsault-powerslamming Scott Steiner with the later Big Poppa Pump character. Big Poppa Pump without the back and knee problems is about as scary a heel as I can think of.
Definitely that Steiner example is a great one. Buff Bagwell before and after he broke his neck, where he could have been a top level babyface in 1999 but his body was shot and they turned him back right away. Eddie Guerrero's 2003 persona with his 1995 body would be amazing as well.
