Main events on Raw and Smackdown

Why has WWE stopped promoting main events on Raw and Smackdown? I watched both shows this week and while they promoted what was the final match of both shows throughout the show, they didn't call it the main event. With Raw's 1st 35 mins featured the top 3 men, why not space the match part to a different hour so we have to keep watching? Wouldn't it be logical and helpful to the viewers for Vince say that while we have Ronda Rousey in the main event tonight, let's have Finn and Strowman fight with Brock at ringside after whatever match in kayfabe should have been planned to be 1st?
Agree 100%. They're doing really oddly timed and promoted shows and it's no wonder ratings are dropping like a stone for the third hour.
