Losing chemistry

Finally caught the TLC match between Rollins and Ambrose that was the dullest, pathetic “blood feud” match I’ve seen that died a slow death in front of a tired crowd. But it got me thinking after you reviewed their very superior NXT match … have you seen other examples where 2 opponents that should be matched up for a classic and have a built in hot feud just lose chemistry in the ring? I thought the same thing with Miz/Bryan where it should have been great but was merely okay and thus very disappointing. No points for guys that are stuck in endless feuds (ala Rollins/Ziggler, Shinsuke/AJ, etc.).
I'd go with AJ v. Nakamura, where it was based on a ***** classic match from Japan and just couldn't meet expectations at Wrestlemania.
